When Ethan and Sheridan first started looking for their home, they assumed they’d end up buying established.

Now almost a year after moving into their own new home in Sinagra, they’re looking back on the decisions that brought them here, and why they’d make the same choice again.
More than a place to live
For Ethan and Sheridan, the biggest drawcard wasn’t just getting into the property market. It was the opportunity to create a home that reflected how they wanted to live. Rather than settling for someone else’s selections, they could choose their own finishes, colours and design features from the very beginning.
We definitely wanted to get into our own home, but we were looking at established and it was a bit out of our reach. Having the choice on selections and colours, we could design it how we wanted.”

Ten months later, it still feels like home
Today, Ethan and Sheridan have been living in their home for almost ten months, and many of the decisions they made early on continue to shape how they live every day.
The theatre has become their favourite place to unwind after work, while the home’s street appeal and landscaping remain among their favourite features.
But perhaps the moment that stays with them the most isn’t tied to a particular room. It’s the feeling they had walking through the front door for the first time.
It just felt like a relief. We were finally in our own space.
